Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If your question isn’t covered here, please contact us below and we’ll answer as quickly as possible.
After purchasing your WP Site Care Plan, you will fill out an intake form, giving us all the necessary WordPress and hosting login information. We keep your information private.
We will do an initial scan for Malware, do updates, and make an initial manual backup. You’ll then be added into our system for monitoring so we will know if your website ever goes down.
We don’t currently offer phone support. We’ve worked hard to keep our prices as low as possible and still give great service. Our support team answers quickly and is easily accessible via email: support@totalwpsitecare.com
Our support hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM. We check support email throughout the weekend and try to take care of anything that might be an emergency.
If our monitoring shows that your website goes down during off hours, we will make every effort to get it back online as quickly as possible (hosting plans only).
Because we provide services from the first day you sign up, we do not offer refunds for monthly plans. However, you are free to cancel your plan at any time. When you do, your service will continue until the end of the current month, unless you request immediate cancellation.
If you need to cancel part-way through an annual plan, we will issue a partial refund for the unused portion.
Unless you cancel your hosting account with MicaTech, billing for hosting services will be AUTOMATICALLY charged (either on a monthly OR yearly basis) depending on how the original subscription was created.
Your credit card will be charged on the same day of every subsequent month for monthly subscriptions and on the same date of the following year/s for annual subscriptions.
MicaTech Total WP Site Care will automatically send an email notification of rebilling charges.
We are happy to take care of your WooCommerce website, for all the services listed in our plans.
Our Essential WP Care plan covers basic maintenance and does not include fixing a hacked site. We can restore a prior backup we have stored for an additional fee.
If you have one of our hosting plans and your site gets hacked or malware is discovered, we will fix it for free. This doesn’t cover a site that is already hacked or has malware when you sign up with us.
If you are on one of our hosting plans and your website gets hacked, it will be fixed for free. If you are on the Essential WP Care plan, we do not fix a site that has been hacked, but we will refer you to someone who can.
When doing updates, we always check to be sure that the site doesn’t break because of an out-of-date or unsupported theme or plugin. If it does, we roll back the update and notify you of the issue. You will be responsible for contacting the theme or plugin developer for an update or a fix.
When plugins are no longer supported, they often get to the point where they are not compatible with an updated version of WordPress. This will cause problems and security issues with the site. We will notify you of the issue, along with suggestions for comparable plugins that could be used.
No! We work with anyone no matter where their website is being hosted. However, some hosting is not as good as others and can negatively affect your site speed and security. If your website does not have a strong login password, we will update it to decrease the potential for being hacked.
We highly recommend moving to our hosting for the increased security and speed.
Yes, we will move your existing website to our hosting for Free, quickly and efficiently. All your content will be moved safely so you don’t have any interruption during the process.
Absolutely! We recommend starting with the monthly so you can feel comfortable with our service before taking advantage of the discounted annual plan. Just email us when you’re ready to change and we can get you set up.
You are welcome to purchase additional plans for other websites you own.
The Essential WP Care Plan has a monthly backup stored off-site. Hosting plans include daily backups for 28 days running, and weekly or bi-weekly backups stored offsite each month, depending on your plan.
We update once a month for sites in our Essential WP Care Plan. Our WP Care + Hosting Plans cover updates 2x month.
When WordPress core and plugin updates come out, they often have bugs that the developers need time to work out. Not updating your site as soon as an update is available helps prevent potential problems.
Content edits include edits to text on any page or blog post, changing images or banners, and edits to the header or footer.
We do not do custom development or coding, do not create new content, pages or images, and do not edit images.
If you already have a blog set up, we can create a new blog post when you submit the text and image for it.
After you submit your requested edits to us, our normal turnaround time is 48 hours, though typically is it much faster. If it is something that needs to be done quickly, let us know and we’ll do our best to complete it on time.
The 45 minute time for content edits does not roll over if you don’t need to use it in a given month. However, if you have a content job that will take up to an hour, we will do it at no extra charge if you haven’t used your time for edits every month.
If you have a content job that will take 45 – 60 minutes, we will do it at no extra charge if you haven’t used your time for edits every month. If you have, or if the job will require more than an hour, we will quote what it will cost for the overtime at our discounted rate of $99 hour.
